We tested a Tritton See2 USB VGA Adapter and configured it to be used with Guardian Angel Linux.

To get the Tritton See2 USBVGA functional using the Linux sisusbvga kernel module (already supplied with Guardian Angel Linux) and the sisusb Xorg driver (already supplied with Guardian Angel Linux) I just needed to:

1. Connect the Monitor to the See2 USBVGA adapter
2. Plug the adapter into the USB port
3. Configure the Xorg configuration file with the proper values (pay particular attention to the Horizontal and Vertical frequencies)
4. Restart Xwindows (CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE)

Support for adapters using the RaLink rt72 chipset has been added to Guardian Angel Linux.

This weekend, Silicon Safari CEO, Vince Hickey, and BlueGrid CEO, Rob Daniel, began testing Guardian Angel Linux and GAL-Kit at BlueGrid’s “BrainStorm” facility. Silicon Safari Inc’s CEO, Vince Hickey, gave a Guardian Angel Linux product briefing to the members of NOVALUG on Saturday, November 3rd. Also, discussed was S.S.I.’s GAL-Kit and its ability to increase the compatibility of GAL while on the go.
